The Federal Tax Authority has set the clock, the penalties are signed into law, and the businesses that move first are the ones who’ll transition calmly…instead of scrambling in Q4.
If your company turns over AED 50 million or more, you’re in Phase 1, and this applies to you now. With the right partner, getting compliant is far simpler than the regulation makes it sound. At Intwo, working alongside our accredited partner Complyance, we can take a Microsoft Dynamics 365 business from “not started” to “fully transmitting” in two weeks.
Here’s what you need to know…and how to get ahead of it.
The UAE is rolling out e-invoicing in phases, based on annual revenue. For Phase 1 businesses, three dates define the timeline:
Phase 2…businesses with revenue below AED 50 million…follows on its own timeline: ASP appointment by March 31, 2027, mandatory go-live by July 1, 2027. Government entities have a similar schedule with go-live by October 1, 2027. The message is the same across the board: the deadlines are fixed, and readiness takes time.
Under Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025, non-compliance carries hard penalties…and they stack:
A business that misses both can face AED 10,000 a month before any additional system-failure penalties apply.
But the fines aren’t the headline risk. The real cost is what waiting forces on you operationally: without an ASP in place, you can’t test invoice flows, validate your data fields, or train your finance team before go-live. Companies that wait until the deadline inherit a compressed, high-pressure rollout with no margin for error…and that’s the cost the fine schedule doesn’t capture.
The UAE has adopted a Peppol-based five-corner model…the Decentralized Continuous Transaction Control and Exchange (DCTCE) framework. In plain terms: every invoice you issue flows through an Accredited Service Provider, which converts it into the required PINT AE XML format, validates it, and transmits it securely to your customer and to the FTA…all within seconds, behind the scenes.
PDFs and Word invoices no longer count. Your finance team still works the way they always have; the compliance layer simply happens automatically. That’s the role of the ASP…and choosing the right one shapes how smooth (and how affordable) your entire transition will be.
Intwo is one of the region’s leading Microsoft partners…a Microsoft Inner Circle member and Azure Expert Managed Services Provider, certified across Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance & Operations, AX, and Navision. We evaluated eight ASPs before selecting Complyance…chosen for proven global compliance experience, genuine ease of implementation, and cost-effectiveness you can benchmark against any other provider on the market.
Here’s what makes the combination different:
Native Dynamics 365 integration. We’ve built a plug-and-play connector between Dynamics 365 and the Complyance platform. It pushes invoice data out, pulls real-time status back into your ERP, and handles every step in between…so your finance team never has to log into two systems. Errors, validations, and statuses all appear inside Dynamics, where they already work.
One partner, end to end. With Intwo and Complyance, you don’t juggle a separate ASP vendor and a separate D365 implementer. We deliver the complete e-invoicing journey under one roof, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager through go-live and beyond.
ERP-flexible. Complyance is ERP-agnostic…so if you run SAP, Oracle, or Sage, we can still connect you. And for businesses with multiple entities, branches, or operations across the GCC and Europe, the platform manages it all from a single login.
For Dynamics 365 customers, the implementation journey is genuinely fast because the heavy lifting is pre-built:
The connector requires configuration, not custom development, for each deployment…which is exactly why the timeline is so short. We’re deliberately honest about it: two weeks is our target for early implementations, and we expect it to compress further as we complete more projects. No over-promising.
Preparation is the whole game here. The businesses that start now will test calmly, train their teams, and walk into 2027 already compliant. The ones who wait will be doing all of that under deadline pressure…with penalties accruing if anything slips.
